BLACK FRIDAY might seem like an odd day to set out on an adventure, but with our bellies full of turkey, and fresh recall of our many blessings, myself along with a motley crew of seventeen others will do just that. Black, white, dark, light or otherwise, Friday November 29th 2019 has been marked on our calendars for months. On this special Friday we will depart from our homes, travel across the US, and across the ocean to hike the hills and valleys of Jordan and Israel. Joel Kramer, aka Indiana Joel, will teach us about archaeology; how the earth relinquishes architecture and artifacts that tell specific stories of specific people.

We will explore dozens of archaeological excavations, learn about ancient civilizations rich in history and diversity, and we will immerse ourselves in the current culture of the Middle East. We’re excited to experience for ourselves this extraordinary cultural melting pot and gain a better understanding of its impact on the world.
